This elevator is awesome. The Banting Institute is slated for demolition this month in favor of a new building. It is a shame that we are losing this cool vintage structure, but it is what it is. I am glad I had the chance to briefly check out this elevator as well as the service car just prior to demolition. This elevator escaped modernization, but will not escape demolition, sadly.
