Mahatma Gandhi continues to be source of our inspiration: Sonia Gandhi in message at CWC meeting

The Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting, titled "Nav Satyagraha Baithak," began in Belgaum to mark the 100th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi presiding over the 1924 Congress session. Key leaders, including Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Siddaramaiah, and D K Shivakumar, attended the historic meeting, held at the same venue as the 1924 session. The Congress rejected criticism from the BJP over alleged misrepresentation of India's map on event posters, asserting that the BJP was uncomfortable with the celebration of Gandhi's legacy. The party reaffirmed its commitment to preserving Gandhi's legacy and countering attacks on the Constitution, particularly in relation to B R Ambedkar. The meeting will address political and electoral challenges ahead, and the Congress plans to take strong actions on issues like the alleged insult to Ambedkar. A rally called "Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan" will be held in Belgaum on December 27, with over 200 leaders attending.
