Tadpole is the first time I've touched on a more emotional subject and is very personal to me, telling the story of the weeks following an emotional miscarriage. It wasn't our first, but this one was the furthest along when we found out at the gender scan. Initially so excited to find out what we were having, ready to turn this blob on a screen into a person, but ended up feeling totally deflated and broken hearted. We later went on to have a beautiful daughter, and along with her amazing big brother this family is now complete, but Tadpole will always have a place in our home.

Dad Bod is the first full length album from Southside Willy, coming with a wholesome and personal approach to UK Hip-Hop. Still bringing the laughs he's become known for, but stepping out of his comfort zone to open up a little on more sensitive subjects such as on album closer Tadpole, telling the story of the weeks following an emotional miscarriage. Family is a recurring theme across the 12 tracks, embracing approaching 40 and revelling in his role as a proud father. Brutally honest lyrics often delivered with sarcasm and self deprecating humour...this is Hip-Hop for fans of the likes of Dr. Syntax, Goldie Lookin Chain and ExP (of Flame Griller fame).
