Hygia Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Lucknow has been established in the year 2005 as a statutory institute under the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, is affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow for undergraduate and postgraduate courses and Board of Technical Education (UP) for Diploma. All courses are approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi.

Innovation, excellence, and quality are the driving forces on the campus transforming the vision of the Institute into a reality in a short period of time. Keeping this mind, the society has decided to concentrate in this sector and thus the college has been established to create more professional and dedicated pharmacists to enhance the development of the pharmaceutical sector and to support the efforts of health care sector to provide quality service.
