in this film, see the walrus audio slö multi texture reverb vs walrus audio fathom multi function reverb. the fathom has 4 different algorithms {hall, plate, lo-fi, sonar} & the slö has 3 algorithms {dark which is lower octave, rise which is ambient swell, dream which is latching pad} as well as 3 different wave shapes {sine, warp, sink}. both of these guitar effects pedals are perfect for modulated ambience. in this review & demo, i compare and contrast the two to show similarities & differences. walrus audio are also known for the julia, arp-87, deep six, lillian, voyager, descent, monument, messemer, limited edition pedals & the phoenix power supply. use either of these with other effects such as delay, distortion, fuzz, overdrive, phaser, flanger, chorus, pitch shifter & tremolo on your pedalboard setup or rig for some creative sounds & tone. these could be used to make soundscapes for a various genres, including ambient, worship, indie, alternative, post rock, dream pop & shoegaze. comment below if you’ve tried either of these with a synth or bass.
