This was my first road trip in the new motorhome and Galicia was my destination.

Galicia is well known for it's vertical trails, rain, mud and top level DH riders. But I'd never had the pleasure of riding in the North-West. Oh, and Galicia is a Celtic region, which is nice :)

While I had planned to get in a lot of riding whilst travelling through Galicia, the gods of MTB has conspired against me and Montefaro was to be my only day on the trails.

Montefaro is home to the Spanish Open Enduro and therefore wasn't to be taken lightly. I've ridden several of the other Spanish Open Enduro venues so knew I needed to keep my wits about me.

I'd been given a GPX track by Fany Cabarcos (Spanish Enduro racer and European DH champion) She also told me of a great spot to park the motorhome :) Parking a 7.4 meter beast is not the easiest thing to do! Thanks Fany 👍

So with the track loaded into the GPS, the van parked up and Daisy asleep in the passenger seat, everything was ready...
