Davy Mooney Tackles "Very Early"

In this video Davy Mooney tackles another challenging Bill Evans composition, "Very Early." Consisting of four 8-bar phrases that are just similar enough to confuse the unsuspecting jazz musician, the tune has beguiled generations of players. Mooney explains the harmony and melody, then improvises two choruses over a backing track.
