Built and delivered in 1968 this outstanding DB6 Volante is finished in its originally specified, ‘special order’ colour of ICI Metallic Chrome Aluminium and retains original options chosen from new, which included a ZF 5 speed manual transmission, Chrome wire wheels with 3 eared spinners, Fiamm electric air horns and a Wasso security steering lock, as presented today.

Delivered new via H R Owen Ltd in March 1968 to its first Hampstead, London based owner, before changing hands to a Lady owner on the South Coast of England, followed by a short stay in Europe, from the late 1990’s. Chassis 3677/R, purchased in 2005 after inspection by Aston Martin Works, by a UK based Aston Martin enthusiast and collector, the new owner commissioned Aston Martin Works at Newport Pagnell, to carry out an extensive restoration to the chassis and body, before carrying out a bare metal re-paint in its original colour and a complete an re-trim of the interior in Connolly hides and Wilton carpeting. All works have completed to the highest standards, as demonstrated by invoices on file and its current presentation.

Service records within the history file accompanying the car, dating back to 1981, demonstrate the extensive dedication by its previous owners, in keeping this uniquely finished Volante in superb order throughout. More recently maintenance has been carried out by renowned Aston Martin Heritage specialists R S Williams Ltd, where servicing and mechanical improvements have been applied.

Fitted with a Black woven fabric and power operated hood, restored by Aston Martin and expertly maintained thereafter, this exceptional DB6 Volante is in 1st class order throughout and undoubtedly ready to be enjoyed on any road trip or proudly shown in concours events.

Available for viewing and demonstration now at our Hertfordshire showrooms.
