Soma Terra and Cosmos! 20 minutes ambient.

Earlier this year, I moved and all my gear was put into storage. Move is now complete. Studio is more or less set back up. Time to get back to some music!

Just ordered and received the Soma Terra! My journey into ambient continues to evolve. The Terra (especially paired with the Cosmos) seemed like a no brainer for what I am hoping to explore and accomplish.

I was not mistaken.

Even after just the briefest of time experiencing the surface of this awesome synth, I already feel a connection to it. Playing it is as soothing as the sounds it produces. Meditative would be an apt descriptor. The bells... I love bells in ambient music and the way Terra handles them is awesome.

But that is not all this machine can do. Lyra is in there, lurking, waiting for an opportunity to make itself known. It will be known, in due time. There were a couple moments in this piece the hint of that power is revealed. I like it.

Cosmos. What can I say about the Cosmos? It is fantastic at ambient and is an instrument in its own right.

All reverb and delay/echo is from Terra and/or Cosmos. Slight EQ and gentle mastering were the only processing done in Logic.
