Rise of Expressway in Uttar Pradesh | Upcoming Expressways in UP

The journey of Expressway in Uttar Pradesh started with Yamuna Expressway in 2012
This 165 km Expressway connected Delhi with Agra
The journey continued with the Construction of second Expressway which was Lucknow Agra Expressway
This 302 km Expressway opened to public in 2017
By this time Uttar Pradesh already had the most Expressway in india

The Expressway journey continued with the openning of Purvanchal expressway 2021
This 340 km long Expressway connected Lucknow with Ghazipur district
Next year in 2022 another Expressway opened in uttar pradesh
It was 296 km long Bundelkhand expressway
It connected chitrakoot with etawah district
The other expressway which are operating in uttar pradesh are delhi meerut expressway & eastern peripheral expressway

By the end of 2022 uttar pradesh already had more then 1300 km of expressways which was one third of all expressways in india
Uttar Pradesh isn't stopping here only more Expressways are coming to uttar pradesh this includes
Gorakhpur link Expressway is an under construction 91 km long Expressway
It will connect Gorakhpur district with purvanchal expressway in azamgarh district
This Expressway is going to be open to public this year in August 2023
Ganga expressway is an under construction 594 km long Expressway
It will connect meerut with prayagraj with 6 lane Expressway
This Expressway will be openning by next year in April 2024

By the end of 2024 uttar pradesh will have more then 2000 km of expressways

Uttar Pradesh will see openning of more expressways future this includes
Lucknow kanpur Expressway
Kanpur outer ring road
Varanasi Kolkata expressway
Gorakhpur Siliguri Expressway

Some of the proposed expressway are
Prayagraj Varanasi expressway
Meerut haridwar expressway
Rampur rudrapur expressway
Chitrakoot prayagraj expressway
Chitrakoot to mirzapur expressway

Uttar Pradesh will continue leading India in number of Expressways
That's why uttar pradesh is called expressway pradesh
