Netravati Peak is a 1520-metre-high peak is sandwiched between Belthangadi Taluk of Dakshina Kannada and Chikmagalur District of Karnataka. It is a part of the Western Ghat range which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its biodiversity. The trek is around 15 Kms from base point.

River Netravathi takes her birth in this hill ranges. This river flows through Dharmasthala and is considered one of the holy rivers of India. It merges with the Kumaradhara River at Uppinangadi before flowing to the Arabian Sea. This river is the main source of water in Bantwal and Mangalore. The Netravati railway bridge is one of the known bridges which serve as the gateway to Mangalore. While it is close to some other famous peaks such as the Kudremukh, this trek remains comparatively lesser-known. A less known trekking trail in Chikmagalur.

There are multiple home stays near the foot hills of the trek.

Best time to visit
Monsoon - June to August : Monsoon treks get challenging and exhilarating. The whole forests and mountain ranges just flourish with greenery with leeches for your company and you get to witness the beautiful misty landscapes.
