The Pietermaritzburg Magistrates Court has dismissed an application filed by the defence of an IEC area manager who is charged with contravention of electoral act.

Musawenkosi Mnikathi is alleged to have been moving voting material without police escort on May 29 and was arrested.

Mnikathi is out on warning.
