One of the areas most likely to be visited by politicians during the election campaign is what's loosely described as Western Sydney.

During the worst of the COVID outbreak in New South Wales, they were tagged areas of concern and the home base of much of the wider city's workforce.

Home to about 1 in 11 Australians, they're almost among the most diverse areas in the country.

Here Out West tried to explore this rich diversity - telling eight interconnected stories over the course of a single day in Western Sydney.
