Walks in Kent. Mereworth Woods to West Peckham.

Описание к видео Walks in Kent. Mereworth Woods to West Peckham.

West Peckham has the classic look of an English village. It forms the centrepiece of this invigorating walk, through woodland on the outward leg and along the top of the Wealden ridge on the return.

We started the walk at St Lawrence's Church, Mereworth and stopped to look at the gravestone of Charles Lucas (the first person to receive the Victoria Cross). We then headed out of the small village towards beautiful meadows and woodland before arriving in West Peckham, where we had a well-deserved cider from the Swan on the Green pub and explored St Dunstan's Church. West Peckham is a typical English village with a lovely village green.

We then started up the short but steep hill to join the short woodland walk on the Wealden ridge before descending back down into Mereworth.

We would highly recommend doing this walk and it's perfect if you have dogs as there are many stretches where they can be off-lead and explore/have fun.
