August 3 New Stimulus Package Update Negotiations Not Going Well

Here is an update for the new stimulus program other wise known as the heals act.

A total of 55 million American lost their jobs since the coronavirus pandemic started and the United States Gross Domestic Product gdp dropped 32.9% in 2nd quarter of 2020.

Negations for the heals act are in process and expected to be finished by August 7 2020 or the senate will be on recess for 31 days.

Negotiation aren’t going well but they are making progress and they expect to finish soon. Republicans are blaming democrats for not passing things quickly and being fair while benefits for unemployment and rental assistance programs ended.

Steven Mnuchin said we can’t pay people more to stay home than go to work that is the main reason many people aren’t working.

I know people stated locally no lyft and uber drivers were available. I mentioned… if your getting 600 plus your unemployment most uber and lyft drivers in a smaller town and maybe even larger cities would rather stay home than drive.


Trump said negotiation for heals act is taking too long and he may plan to take action on his own and declare a national economic emergency which would give him additional powers as president. He didn’t state what he would do but Steven Moore of wall street journal said if trump decided to do that, he could stop the irs from collecting payroll tax and give everyone payroll tax cut he asked about and giving everyone 7.5 percent boost in payroll.

I do think that the congress and senate will work out all the issues with the new stimulus program
