Saradha Scam: CBI Alleges Big Charges Against Mamata Govt | India First

The Central Bureau of Investigation has moved the Supreme Court seeking to question senior IPS officer and former Kolkata police commissioner Rajeev Kumar in connection with the multi-crore-rupee Saradha chit fund scam case.
The CBI stated that Rajeev Kumar is not cooperating in the probe and that his custodial interrogation is necessary in to unearth the nexus in the scam. CBI has accused Mamata Banerjee claims that 6.21 crore from CM relief fund was given to a tainted firm.
The scam was unearthed in 2013, when Saradha Group of companies allegedly duped lakhs of people to the tune of Rs 2,500 crore.
