Описание к видео Final Fantasy IX - Freya vs Ozma (Solo Combat, No Auto-Life)

Game: Final Fantasy IX (FF9).
Emulator: ePSXe 1.9
Graphics Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 2.9

As title suggests, Freya vs Ozma. Or as I call it: OZMA, STOP HITTING YOURSELF! I have also found a new recording software that replaces my inferior one. Now I can play this game with my OpenGL2 2.9 GPU, which has better rendering than OpenGL 1.77 and doesn't slow down my game to a crawl!

==ENEMY BASIC STATS and ATTACKS==
Ozma, Level 99, 55,535 HP/9,999 MP
Classification: Aerial
Elements: Immune to Earth, Weak against Wind, Shadow and Holy

Ozma's spells are randomly chosen based on his turn number. There are other spells, but I am covering the ones that he can cast when you resist Holy/Shadow and have Reflect up:

Doomsday - Drops a giant meteor onto the battlefield. Deals Shadow damage to all players and Ozma takes damage. He will heal from the impact if you didn't do the Friendly Animal Sidequest. Casts it ever other turn on odd number. Will still cast if target is immune or absorbs Shadow as the AI still thinks it absorbs it's own attack.

LV4 Holy - Attacks all party members with Holy Damage provided the character has a level that is divisible by 4. Casts it every other turn on even number. Won't cast it if level is divisible by 4, absorption isn't checked. Casts it every other turn on even numbers.

Curse - Deals physical damage to all party members. Causes Confusion, Poison, Blind, Mini. Antibody and Clear Headed are recommended for status guards as Poison fights Regen and Confusion will prevent you from doing actions until you whack yourself. Casts it every other turn on the even numbers.

Flare Star - Deals damage equal to 50 x Level. 4200 in my case. It can be dodged with enough Magic Evasion. Casts it every other turn on odd number.

Meteor - Deals random damage (calculated against each party member individually on impact) to each party member by Base x Random number between 1 times (Caster Level + Caster Magic) - 1. Accuracy equals Spirit + (Level / 2), however, this check is bypassed as the accuracy is 104 in Ozma's favor. Casts it every other turn on the odd number

Curaga - Heals a large portion of Ozma's HP. Casts it every other turn on the even numbers if HP falls below 50% or as a counter.

Berserk - Causes a character to go Berserk. But with Reflect, it won't work on Freya.

===FREYA STATS===
Freya, Level 84, 6,985 HP/327 MP
Elements: Halves All Elemental Damage
Equips: Dragon's Hair, Grand Helm, Venetia Shield, Dragon Mail, Protect Ring
Active Skills: Auto Reflect, Haste and Regen, HP +10 and 20%, Bird Killer (for trance),
Clear Headed, Antibody, High Jump

Speed: 30
Strength: 62
Magic: 50
Spirit: 43
Attack: 77
Defense: 44
Evade: 21
Magic Defense: 37
Magic Evade: 32

Dragon's Crest - For 16 MP, deals damage equal to the number of Dragons slain throughout the course of the game squared. Slaying 100 guarantees 9999. Ignores Mini.

Trance - The Jump command leaves Freya in the air. Every cycle of Jump, she tosses spears down that deal fluctuating damage to all enemies. Although it does significantly less than a standard Jump, it forces Ozma to either Doomsday itself or Curaga itself as there are no viable targets on the field. If done early in the battle, one can cripple his HP by half before Freya lands. The more Spirit Freya has, the longer she stays up in the air.

====STRATEGY====
I made myself 84 so that Ozma has LV4 Holy added to his arsenal, which reduces the odds of him using Curaga or Curse on his even number turns. But to add fuel to the fire, Freya has a special power that really screws with Ozma's AI: Trance Jump. While in the air, Ozma cannot cast anything on his even turns as there are no targets for Curse or LVL4 Holy and he can't Curaga himself as his HP is greater than 50%. On his odd number turns, he is forced to cast Doomsday. As I said before, the AI thinks it can absorb Shadow damage, when he can't. This allows you to cripple him without fear of retaliation! Afterwards, it's classic Dragon Crest spam until he fell.

===OVERALL===
This is probably one of the easiest solos you can do. With Freya, you got access to the Trance Jump to force Ozma to Doomsday himself a few rounds so it helps to come into battle with a Trance Bar ~90% and 35-50 Spirit. Plus she can have an HP pool that almost rivals Steiner if you buff her Spirit, Speed (for Auto-Regen purposes) and Strength (for HP) up with levels. Magic isn't necessary since Dragon's Crest has a small mana cost. Anyone who needs quick dragon kills can go to Popos Heights for Grand Dragons and kill them off with Quina's LV5 Death (always works) or Vivi's Death spell (which is 35 + Vivi's Magic + (Vivi's Level / 2) - 60 chance of working) or wonder around the Chocobo Forest region and OHKO Serpions and Ironites before going to Terra.
