In episode V of the Iraq series we finish exploring Najaf with a top view of the biggest cemetery in the world, Wadi Al-Salam, or Peace Valley. We head back to Baghdad for some chilling and evening antics on the town in the bustling Al-Mutanabbi Street, full of controversial memorabilia!

The next morning, after some market exploring and new friend making, the big journey north to old ISIS controlled territory begins, via the spiral minaret of Malwiya Mosque in militia-controlled Samarra and Saddam Hussein's home city of Tikrit.. This was my first time taking shared taxis and I had to take 3 separate taxis in the end, which I was not prepared for, but it was quite the journey!
