Star Trek's PAUL WESLEY sits for an interview to discuss just how strange the Strange New Worlds of Season 3 will be, and what part his James T. Kirk will play in this season.

During the #interview, Wesley reveals what he thought were the non-negotiable characteristics of Kirk when creating his version of the character, as well as what defines the legendary Captain, and how long he's been sitting on that Shatner impersonation.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds follows Captain Christopher Pike and the crew of the Starship Enterprise in the decade before Captain Kirk takes command, as they explore new worlds and encounter various challenges. The series is set in the 23rd century and features familiar characters from The Original Series like Spock and Number One, alongside new additions to the Enterprise crew.

The show takes place roughly 5-6 years before the events of Star Trek: The Original Series (TOS), filling in the gap before Kirk's command while aiming to capture the sense of wonder and discovery that defined the early days of Star Trek, with the Enterprise crew boldly going where no one has gone before. The show also aims to evoke the optimistic and adventurous spirit of TOS, while also incorporating more modern storytelling techniques.
