We interview Gregg Herrin, Senior Director of Water Infrastructure at Bentley Systems, during the company’s annual ‘Year in Infrastructure 2019 Conference’, taking place in Singapore, on the latest news #BentleySystems is announcing regarding water technologies.

Herrin says that there are many novelties the firm is currently working on, but that they will be releasing a new product this week called OpenFlows WaterOPS, specialised in real time monitoring, real time emergency response.

He also adds that they have made some important enhancements to already existing technologies to bring it closer to operators by making them more user friendly.

Interested in how the arrival of 5G will impact the acquisition of data from infrastructure and #water networks, we asked Herrin what he thought and he replied that 5G will bring both positive aspects, but that new tools will also be necessary to make the most of this access to endless data.
