NCL Spirit Cruise - Sicily, Italy Godfather Tour

This is Day 9 of our summer cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line's (NCL) Norwegian Spirit Eastern Mediterranean Cruise departing from Rome (Civitavecchia) Italy.

Today we are in Sicily, Italy. Our shore excursion was the Godfather tour. We visited the village of Savoca and admired its scenic beauty and learned about it’s history. We went into the Cappuccino Church and saw its 37 mummies of friars and noble people from the 18th/19th century. We also visited Bar Vitelli and the church where Michael got married in the Godfather. Our tour finished in Forza d’Agro where we visited the main square and the Church of San Agostino. Back in Sicily, we saw the Sicily clock tower and had some gelato and coffee.
