Even without reaching Perry Creek Falls, this trail delivers more than most. It’s a rolling corridor of sound and scenery: snowmelt-fed cascades crash down the mountainside, mist clings to trees, and the air is thick with forest life.

Due to lingering snowfields, I stopped before the final descent to the main falls — but honestly, the trail itself is the experience. From stream crossings to granite-lined chutes roaring just off the path, this route offers some of the best ambient audio I’ve ever recorded.
