In this follow-up session I pick up where I left off after the last rain-soaked attempt—only to realise I’d already started flaking before noticing the camera card was full… so we reset and crack on.

The plan for this piece is a *Scottsbluff-style point* for a current project, which means it needs to be **shortened and standardised**, not left as a big oversized “surfboard.” I work this preform mainly with **copper pressure flaking**, grabbing the occasional longer removal when I can, and focusing on the traits that make Scottsbluff points so distinctive.

In the video you’ll see:
Continuing a preform started earlier with *indirect percussion**, then switching to mostly **pressure work*
Cutting the piece down to size and squaring up the base
Removing step fractures, “bird beaks,” air pockets and the constant problem of *English concrete inclusions*
Running long, clean pressure flakes into the centre (and sometimes accidentally wiping out “pretty” flake patterns in the process)
Building and shaping the **tang/shoulders**, and experimenting with flake direction to try to match classic Scottsbluff patterns
A bit of real-life chat mid-knap (including Mrs Crow and a friendly neighbour )

This one is very much a *warts-and-all* knapping session: a few mistakes, recoveries, risky decisions around concrete, and plenty of problem-solving to keep the piece flat, neat, and symmetrical.
