Delany's GAA through their club provide additional opportunities for the wider community to be active in a safe environment. Delanys GAA act as a hub for the community on Dublin Hill on the north side of Cork city. They cater for a variety of ages from 2 to 82 years old. They promote Gaelic Games and a number of other sports and activities for boys, girls, men, mothers & others. Their facilities are also used for a variety of local groups such as walking groups, kids karate and a men's shed.

Active Community Group
This award is to acknowledge a volunteer group of people that campaign to give members of the community the opportunity to participate in locally coordinated physical activity and community sports programmes and opportunities. They inspire and motivate others and have been particularly successful in engaging and creating sustainable local opportunities to benefit the whole community. They equally promote positive health and wellbeing, inclusive for all.
