Recent statistics show a substance abuse program aimed at moderate to high risk inmates is having a significant impact in reducing the number of those chronic offenders who return to jail.  Correctional Health's Mosaic program addresses the trauma in people's lives which can lead to substance misuse and, often, criminal behavior, teaching skills to replace the substance.  2017 Mosaic participants had a recidivism rate approximately 20% lower than their peers who did not go through the program according to a controlled study between the two groups.
