No better expression, than wow. 140 Days for my BUMED to get approved, 5 months for all my waivers to go through, a whole year since I officially wanted to join, plus a branch change. That took a while didn't it?

Many moments I looked at myself and said, "Why even try?" "You're going to get denied." "You're not good enough." Yet I pushed through. I was patient. I was forgiving of myself and of time. Now a door that I thought was closed for me, was opened. An opportunity was presented and I'm taking it.

To the times I cried because I felt stuck: You did it. To the times I felt angry: Your patience paid off. To the times where I laid in bed unmotivated: Get up, it's time to work.

Huge shout out to my office who believed in me. To the recruiter who first talked to me and saw potential. To my new recruiter who helped push the paperwork to the finish line. We did it. Last, but not least, my faith. If it weren't for my prayers, my continuous petition, I would've stopped long time ago.

"Faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains."
