Domestic Dispute Abroad Turns Deadly for Belizean Artist


Tonight, a Belize City family is heartbroken after learning that their loved one, thirty one year old Anfernee “Big Bang” Pollard, has been killed in the United States. Pollard left Belize to chase his dream in music, and he made it, working alongside some of the biggest names in the industry and building an impressive portfolio of work. But earlier this week, that rising career came to a tragic end. U.S. reports say Pollard was inside a home with a woman when her ex-partner stormed in and opened fire, killing them both. The suspect is now on the run, and police in the U.S. have launched a full investigation. Here at home, we spoke with Pollard’s brother, Allan, who shared memories of Anfernee’s passion, his talent, and the legacy he leaves behind.
