How to steer with 360 degrees controllable thrusters such as azimuth thrusters or azipods? This video is a short introduction on pod manoeuvring, how it works and what the difference to conventional ships is. It is valid for operations in the sea mode (cruise mode) where both pods are synchronised and limitted to an angle of 30 degrees.
The dynamic prediction of SAMMON Monitoring is used in order to vidsualise the ship's dynamics induced by various pod handle settings.
