This Morning miss out NTAs after winning 12 years in a row

ITV bosses are sure to be left reeling as This Morning has missed out on winning the Best Daytime Show award for the 13th time this year at Tuesday night's annual National Television Awards, losing out to BBC rival The Repair Shop.

The result is likely to send shockwaves through the industry as the Ricochet production which brings broken or damaged family heirlooms back to life is self-confessed "new kid on the block," and also beat nominees The Chase and ITV's Loose Women.

Happy Valley’s Sarah Lancashire was honoured with a special recognition gong.
