Parade cadences on American St!

Since 2021, Mad Beatz Philly has been bringing the rhythm to American St, fueled by the endless support of passing runners and drivers! This May, we added Saturday practices so every drummer could improve their parade skills:

•Keeping feet in time
•Coordinating hands with feet
•Dressing their form within the rows and files of the parade block
•Building the self-discipline and endurance it takes to finish a long, hot parade strong.

Drummers fought hard through the full 2 hour parade practices to maintain form and energy throughout the whole time. When you’re feeling like you can’t push through anymore, the person to your left makes you smile, the person to your right tells you “We’re almost there!”, you hear a “WHOO!!” from Justice and energy comes back!

We can’t wait to showcase our hard work at these exciting parades:
