Over the past 6 months I’ve been getting to know a complete stranger and their project, which also happens to be called “The Strangers Project”. Starting with simple ambitions, this project took me from intimate conversations via google hangouts to actually travelling to New York and creating this short film. You’ll see that this is a story of us getting to know each other, of the project itself, and how it’s all part of a bigger narrative.

It’s been an absolute pleasure, honour, and personal mission to get to this point. Juggling life, work, and personal projects like this is never easy. But it’s been worth it.

Ultimately, I hope this does a little good for someone who is doing a lot for everyone else. The Founder (Brandon) does pretty much all of this by himself and that is no easy task. The dedication and commitment is incredibly admirable. ... if he were editing this right now he’d tell me to focus on talking about the project, but I’ll get to that. Brandon, thank you for your hard work and perseverance, but also for letting me know you more.

I’m sure you’ll see for yourselves but there is a real community here. People willing to be vulnerable. To be honest. To reveal themselves. This project creates that kind of space and the people fill. All in all, it’s worth remembering that there are places we come together, first as strangers, but then as something more.
