Kakatapos lang ng morning meeting nilang mga kasambahay sa maid's quarter at nag-umpisa nang magpuntahan sa kani-kanyang mga trabaho ang mga ito maliban sa kanya.
Tumikhim si Audrey bago sumagot. Nilaliman niya ang kanyang boses para magtono siyang sinkwenta anyos at hindi siya mabuko sa pagpapanggap niya bilang isang matanda na nagngangalang Aida.
"Masakit lang ang likod ko, siguro dahil na rin sa edad ko," nakangiti niyang sagot.
"Naku, gets kita, Manang. Sa edad talaga natin ay hindi na natin maiiwasan ang pagsakit ng mga likod natin," malungkot na sagot nito para magbigay ng simpatya sa kanya at halos matawa siya sa pagtawag nito ng manang sa kanya pero hindi niya iyon ipinahalata sa muli niyang pagyuko.
"Oo nga, ganito pala kapag tumatanda na," wika niya at saka hinawakan ang kanyang balakang.
"Sinabi mo pa. Kung gan'on huwag ka munang magmadali, magpahinga ka muna sandali bago mo puntahan ang trabaho mo. Ako naman ay babalik na sa mga labahin ko," wika nito at paalis na sana pero pinigilan niya ito.
