PRRD signs proclamation for the establishment of Davao Regional Government Center
in Davao City

In April 28, 2022, the Malacañan Palace has released the Presidential
Proclamation No. 1354, signed by Pres. Rodrigo Duterte reserving certain parcels
of patrimonial land of the government of Three Million Five Hundred Fifty-seven
Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-six square meters (3,557,376 m²) situated in
Brgy. Oshiro, Davao City where the Davao Regional Government Center (RGC) shall rise.

The project was carried out through the unified efforts of the members of Association
of Regional Executives of National Agencies (ARENA) in Region XI and the
recommendation of the Secretaries of the Dept. of Environment and Natural Resources
(DENR) and Dept. of Agriculture (DA).

The proclamation signals a go for the construction of the said center which will soon
be a hub to several National and Local government agencies including the
City Government of Davao.

Apart from hitting the goal of lessening the traffic congestion in the city proper,
the said project is intended to improve public service to Dabawenyos.

Also enclosed in the Proclamation is the authority given to the DENR to execute
Deeds of Conveyance for the said Davao Regional Government Center.

On the other hand, the DENR XI, through RED Bagani Fidel Evasco wishes to extend
its gratitude to all who supported the said project including
Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte, Regional Development Council (RDC) XI,
DENR Sec. Jim Sampulna, USec Joselin Marcus Fragada, ASec Ruth Tawanwatawan,
DENR-LMB Director Atty. Emelyn V. Talabis,
NEDA XI Regional Director Maria Lourdes D. Lim, CESO II,
DOST XI Regional Director Dr. Anthony C. Sales, CESO III,
Davao de Oro Gov. Jayvee Tyron Uy and the rest of the members of ARENA XI
and most especially to President Rodrigo R. Duterte.
