JCRES - ‘Certified Gas’ - Promise and Perils

Fossil fuels will continue to be used for decades, and just like there is dirty oil and extremely dirty oil, there are significant differences for natural gas, the least polluting category being marketed as Certified Gas or even Responsible Natural Gas.

Here to discuss the promise and perils of ‘Certified Gas’ and to argue how it could be "a bridge to a diversified energy future" is Dr. Ben Webster with MiQ, a large not-for-profit that investigates, rates, and certifies the methane performance of nearly 20% of onshore natural gas production.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER:

Dr. Ben Webster is the Director of Policy at MiQ.

The program was hosted by Martin Voelker, JCRES chair.
