Rare 18th Century Black Forest Flute Clock with Black Bird Automata Circa 1770 Flötenuhr

Описание к видео Rare 18th Century Black Forest Flute Clock with Black Bird Automata Circa 1770 Flötenuhr

This is a very rare Black Forest flute clock or Flötenuhr. Clock has a large wood carved gilded shield. The shield has an opening above the dial exposing a large black bird or Amsel.

The clock will strike the hour then activate a musical train that plays 5 airs on 12 wood pipes. As the music plays the black bird moves left to right and his beak flutters in sequence with the tune.

The 5 airs are all based on the song o the bird, and have frequent "off notes" true to the song of the Amsel.

This clock was made circa 1770, and is one of the most magnificent musical Black Forest clocks that can be found today.

We had the clock totally restored in Germany in 2012, and it function flawlessly...even after over 245 years.
