In Vanaheim, Kratos and Freya discover the source of what restricts her to Midgard, Yggdrasil roots that Odin manipulated to keep her grounded. As Freya tears at the roots, Níðhögg appears. The two put together that Odin had planned this, and used Níðhögg’s nature for his own purposes. Yggdrasil’s fierce protector, Níðhögg will do what she must to defend the roots, but Kratos and Freya must persevere in the face of The Hidden Beast…
