CHIANG RAI DAY TRIP: 8 Stops in Northern Thailand! (4K)

Описание к видео CHIANG RAI DAY TRIP: 8 Stops in Northern Thailand! (4K)

This day trip from the city of Chiang Rai in Northern Thailand was one of most interesting day trips I've taken in a while, featuring eight cultural stops. The first two stops were of stunning Buddhist temples: The White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), and The Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten). We then toured the Baan Dam Museum, known as The Black House, which is part temple, part museum, part private house. After that, we visited Long Neck Karen Village, featuring the Karen hilltribe, where many of the women have elongated necks, due to the heavy brass and gold chains they wear around their necks. After that, the saw the Choui Fong Tea Plantation, where we were given a tea making demonstration, then off to the Northernmost Border of Thailand, the border with Myanmar. Then off to The Golden Triangle, which has a history of opium and heroin production, where Thailand borders both Myanmar and Laos. Our final stop was at the nearby House of Opium Museum, where you learn all about the history, production, and effects of opium.
