How to Cook Beef Salpicao | Easy Cooking Recipe | Filipino Dish | Home Cook Meal | Comfort Food

What is beef salpicao made of?

Beef salpicao is a Filipino dish of beef cubes in a sauce with fried garlic. The name comes from the Spanish word salpicar, which means "to sprinkle" or "to splash".

The two most important aspects of beef salpicao are the tenderness and the taste! The beef cuts we’re using for this salpicao are the tenderest portions a cow has to offer. Tenderloin or sirloin pieces will melt in your mouth, perfectly absorbing all of this dish’s fantastic flavors.

This dish is so quick and easy to make. I use beef sirloin for this one. You need to give this dish a try!

INGREDIENTS:
1 ½ lbs. beef sirloin cut in cubes
1 head garlic
1 teaspoon salt
3 cubes of butter
¼ cup olive oil
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
5 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
Chop 1 head of garlic. Cook garlic with low heat until it turns golden brown.
Remove the fried garlic and put it in a separate bowl. Similarly, set aside the olive oil that was use for frying the garlic.
Combine beef, salt, ground black pepper, 2 tablespoon of olive oil from the garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. Let it stay for 10 minutes.
Heat a clean pan. Once the pan gets really hot, sear the marinated beef until the sides turn brown.
Add 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce and a cube of butter. Continue cooking for 3 minutes.
Add 2 more cubes of butter along with the some fried garlic and onion leaves. Continue cooking until the liquid evaporates completely.
Plate the rice and place the beef salpicao over it. Share and enjoy!
