Sunday Groove: when your body wants to dance, your brain wants a nap, and your responsibilities are politely left on read. 🕺😴

Morning breaks on a restless mind,
Dust on my boots, prayers behind,
I’ve made mistakes I can’t outrun,
Shadows stretch when the day’s begun.
Every scar’s got a story to tell,
Some from heaven, some from hell,
But I ain’t done, I ain’t defeated,
Just a cowboy still being reshaped.
I’m fighting my demons, day by day,
Learning how to walk straight anyway,
They knock me down, I rise again,
With a stubborn heart and a “not today.”
I ain’t perfect, but I mean this—
I won’t let the darkness win,
By the grace of God and my own two feet,
I’m fighting my demons.
I’ve leaned on things that let me fall,
Heard the bottle make false calls,
But peace don’t live at the end of a glass,
It lives in forgiveness, not the past.
I trade my pride for a whispered prayer,
Knees in the dirt, sky wide and bare,
If mercy’s earned by standing tall,
Then Lord, I’m ready for it all.
I’m fighting my demons, scars and all,
Standing strong when the night winds call,
They know my name, I know theirs,
But faith fights harder than despair.
I ain’t perfect, but I mean this—
I won’t let the darkness win,
By the grace of God and my own two feet,
I’m fighting my demons.
If I stumble, let me learn,
If I burn, let me burn clean,
Every step toward the light
Is a victory unseen.
I’m fighting my demons, one by one,
From setting moon to rising sun,
I fall, I pray, I rise again,
That’s how redemption rides in.
I ain’t perfect, but I believe this—
Broken men still get redeemed,
Yeah, till my last ride’s done,
I’ll be fighting my demons.
Yeah…
Still riding.
Still praying.
Still fighting.
