Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Battle vs. Prince Mush

Описание к видео Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - Battle vs. Prince Mush

Prince Mush is an optional boss fight unlocked some time after the completion of Chapter 3. He is the first champion of the Glitz Pit. His battle revolves around Super Guarding his attacks.

In the first half of the fight, Prince Mush will switch between 2 stances:

1) When he is hopping, he will dodge Mario's Hammer attacks.
2) When he is wave-dashing, he will dodge Mario's Jump attacks.

In the second half of the fight, Prince Mush will enter a fiery fighting spirit stance. He is unable to be damaged until Mario or his partner lands a Super Guard against one of his attacks, dropping his defense to 0.

During this phase of the fight, he will sometimes create 2 additional clones of himself. If Mario does not get rid of the clones, he will attack 3 times.

After defeating Prince Mush, he can be talked to in the hallway of the Glitz Pit where he will gift Mario his Belt as a sign of friendship.

I completed this fight originally after Chapter 4, however, I decided I wanted to record the match and came back with a bit more BP for a rematch in Chapter 5. My strategy remained the same.

My 33 BP setup at Level 19:
Soft Stomp (1)
Power Bounce (3)
Piercing Blow (1)
Quake Hammer (2)
HP Plus (3)
FP Plus (3)
Power Plus (6)
Power Plus (6)
Power Rush (1)
Pretty Lucky (2)
Pretty Lucky P (2)
Happy Flower (2)
Super Appeal (1)

My strategy involved using Power Lift and having Goombella Super Appeal to maintain Star Power; attacking otherwise when it was opportune to do so.

Prince Mush is a boss fight I was really hoping for, as I wished it was in the original game. I'm so happy they added this to the remake!
