Upgrading Audi Sound BEYOND B&O | Audi A4 Hertz Sound System

This customer came in to us to upgrade the sound in his new purchase, this lovely Audi A4 Avant. The A4 offers a lot of space for upgrading the audio components far beyond the factory sound system fitted - and this new system very easily surpasses even the B&O upgrade available from factory!

In the front end, we've fitted a Hertz Mille Legend 2-way component set, utilising the Hertz Mille Legend tweeters in a factory location, and the Hertz Mille Legend 6.5" drivers again in a factory location in the doors. The tweeter utilises a custom 3d printed mounting plate to allow it to fix into the factory location for a totally stock look. We've also run brand new speaker cables from these components back to the amplifiers, mounted in the boot.

The front doors have also been soundproofed using the Skinz 3mm layer, which is a specially designed adhesive sheet that is applied in as many areas as possible to improve the acoustic environment for the new speakers. It does this by reducing rattles and resonations from the factory materials, reducing road noise, and also creating a better surface for air to move in, creating a better output from the speakers.

In the boot, we have fitted a Hertz Mille Pro 10" subwoofer into a custom box allowing it to be placed discreetly in the corner of the boot, maximising the available space for storage in the huge boot. This sub is run by a Hertz Mille Power 1 amplifier which is hidden under the boot floor, and connected to the Audison Forza 8.9 Bit amplifier which is located in the side storage compartment of the boot. Together, this system allows for the sound system to be tuned precisely for our customers needs, while also providing a huge amount of power to the system - especially as the Audison 8.9 amplifier is running bridged channels, utilising 2 channels of amplification to each component in the front end!
