Today marks 50 years since the moonwalk of Apollo 12 astronaut Pete Conrad '53, making him the third man to walk on the moon. Mike Littman, professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, takes a look into the department's historical files on Conrad, who died in 1999. The lunar module, incidentally, used controls that were created by Littman's colleague in MAE, Robert Stengel.
