This is a 1/4 inch or 1:48 scale dollhouse decorating a vintage Debbie Young Grandfather Clock Kit review of ideas. I used acrylic paints, metals, paper, plastic, cardboard, beads, purchased pieces, furniture kits & stickers. It has room ceiling lightings, a working clock.

It measures 19 x 5 3/4 x 3 1/2” at the furthest points. I added a base 8 x 4 7/16 x 3/4”.

This kit contains four 1:48 rooms within the trunk of a small grandfather clock design. It is one of the first smaller scale kits, I tried. The four rooms are in a trapezoid shape with angled side walls so you can see the furnishings easier. They each measure 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 3 1/4 x 2 1/2” with a 2” floor to ceiling height.

This is one way to decorate the kit after assembly for use in dollhouse miniature display. The kit is no longer available on the Young at Heart website. However you may find one through another online source like eBay or Etsy, adult assistance for assembly & decorating with younger persons.

I purchased this kit a miniature show many years ago from Debbie Young of Young at Heart Miniatures. The directions that came with the kit were easy to follow. It took me a combined twenty-four hours or so over several weeks to complete the assembly & add furnishings. I really liked the kit details and enjoyed the assembly process.
