On August 21, smoke filled the skies of southern Lebanon as rockets were launched towards Israel. The ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israeli forces along the border has not diminished since October 2007. Following Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7, Hezbollah declared a "support front" with Palestinians. As a result of Hezbollah's continuous rocket attacks since October, nearly 80,000 Israelis living near the Lebanon border were compelled to evacuate their homes.
