A no samples approach to Jomox Alpha Base

Jomox Alpha base is a hybrid analog-digital-sample drum machine. What you hear from it in demos usually involves samples modified by analog filter on voices 3-8. This time it's only the internal metallic noise running through those filters and sometimes just the filter self oscillating. Voices 1-2 are of course the famous kick drum and mbrane. Voice 11 is digital FM synth. That left me with voices 9-10 empty because they only play samples without the analog filter. I decided to add some vocal samples there, but other than the human voice - all you hear was fully synthesized. I guess the title is a little misleading in that regard but well...

Processed only through A&H ZEDi 10 mixer. Recorded with Tascam DR-05.
