Vampire Savior playthrough (PS2) (1CC)

Playthrough with Dee. This game is included on Vampire: Darkstalkers Collection, a compilation of all the Darkstalkers arcade games which was only released in Japan. The games on the collection seem to be arcade accurate, but like with the SF Alpha collection, I found the controls to be really bad. Maybe it's because I only have a Dual Shock 2, which I consider to be one of the worst controllers to use for 2D fighters.

This is the "EX" version of the game, which you can unlock. The main difference is that it lets you use more characters than the standard version, such as having Donovan and Pyron playable. I really wish they'd used this version for the Darkstalkers Resurrection 360 & PS3 games, but they didn't.

Dee is the main new addition. He's a "what if?" character, and is what Donovan becomes if he succumbs to his Darkstalker half. His ending shows a grown up version of Anita confronting him. Interestingly, Donovan and Anita were originally intended to be included in the original arcade version of Vampire Savior, but were scrapped. Donovan would appear (as his usual self) in the Saturn and PS1 ports, whilst Anita was never made playable:
