Today we are making Ukdiche Modak on our channel to celebrate the auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. It's been said that Modak is the favorite dish of Lord Ganesha and therefore it's made in almost every Hindu household while welcoming Lord Ganesha to offer him his favorite delicacy. There are a variety of Modak made, but the most popular specially in Maharashtra state is Ukdiche Modak. Apart from being very tricky to make without using mould, this dessert is extremely delicious and juicy.

Ingredients:
For filling:
Coconut grated (Nariyal) 2 cups
Jaggery 1 cup
Ghee 1 tsp
Poppy seeds 1 tsp
Cardamom powder 2 tsp
Salt 1 pinch

For outer covering:
Water 1.5 cups
Modak flour (Rice flour) 1.5 cups
Salt to taste
Ghee 1 tbsp
