Traffic in Westwood was heavier than anticipated so this video will be assisted by the magic of fast-forward technology. This trip starts headed South on Doheny Dr with a quick turn West onto Santa Monica Blvd (01:25) where we cut through Beverly Hills. We turn onto Wilshire Blvd (06:25) and head through the heart of Westwood / Westwood Village and then complete the trip by heading South on Westwood Blvd (15:40).

Westwood began development in 1919, and UCLA opened in 1929. Westwood Village was built starting in 1929 through the 1930s. Wilshire Boulevard through Westwood is a major corridor of condominium towers, on the eastern end and of Class A office towers, on the western end. Westwood also has residential areas of multifamily and single-family housing, including exclusive Holmby Hills.

Currently, construction of the Metro D Line (Subway Expansion Project) has made for lousy traffic and road conditions in the area.
