Recreation Therapy at Parkridge Valley

Parkridge Valley uses recreation therapy as part of a comprehensive, multimodal treatment plans. Through goal-oriented games and activities that promote problem solving and physical exercise, our providers help patients gain confidence and make measurable, meaningful progress toward healing.

For children and adolescents, our 88-acre campus allows a wide variety of options, including indoor and outdoor climbing walls, high and low ropes courses, hiking trails, and biking. Our providers ensure that our therapeutic activities prepare children for a successful return home to their community.

Recreation therapy at Parkridge Valley complements treatment plans that include cognitive behavior therapy-based sessions that are conducted in one-on-one and group settings.
