A few weeks ago, I got to attend the best event I've ever encountered as a coaster enthusiast. Coaster Con 42 was a sight to behold, Morning and evening ERT, events out the wazoo, riding a ton of roller coasters, and meeting some incredible coaster enthusiasts along the way. Some of the coaster enthusiasts I met were amazing people and are also sharing their passion for roller coasters across social media. So I encourage all of you the help them out in our continual expression of enjoying roller coasters by subscribing to their YouTube channels and social media. In particular, I'd appreciate it if you all could support Theme Park Fun, chasing_coasters, and coasters_incoming. These were the coaster enthusiasts I hung out with at Coaster Con 42. It was an absolute blast to be with them. Go check them out when you have the time.
This video, in particular, looks back on my personal journey while I was attending Coaster Con 42. Admittedly, this was the first trip I did on my own. I planned everything, budgeted everything, and was in full control over what I could do during the trip. It really showed me how things can drastically change because of an instant, or a chain of instances, outside of my control. It certainly has helped me gain experience and knowledge about public transit that will be helpful in my future endeavors. Regardless, I hope you enjoy my retrospective on my first ever Coaster Con. It certainly has encouraged me to attend future Coaster Cons as an annual tradition as well as embarking on more solo trips to amusement parks of interest.
